Sigtuna - where Sweden begins

Sigtuna’s history is Sweden’s history. It’s the country’s first town and the birthplace of the nation. During the past millennium, international imprints and artifacts have added to this history. Many of Sweden’s “firsts” can be found here. Our history is important, but even more important is our tradition of thinking outside the box. We want to look towards the future and dare to be first. Therefore, we want to welcome you to our new brand: Sigtuna - where Sweden begins.

Unique Water Park in Märsta

You won’t find a single drop of chlorine in any of the four pools of Midgårdsbadet in Märsta. But, you will find crystal-clear water. In Scandinavia’s first biologically cleansed swimming pools, the water is filtered through a naturally inspired system of ponds, plants, rocks and gravel, and sent back fresh and clean.
Midgårdsbadet is located in Märsta and has four pools: a diving pool, a swimming pool, a pool specially designed for guests with disabilities and a children’s pool. The water park opened in 2010 and is available from May to September. More information can be found here.
